25 Medical Personnel Sustain Injuries Due to Israeli Strike Near Hospital in Southern Lebanon
Beirut, May 23 (QNA) - Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health announced on Saturday that 25 members of the medical, nursing, and administrative staff at a hospital in southern Lebanon were injured as a result of an Israeli strike.
The Ministry's Public Health Emergency Operations Center (PHEOC) said in a statement that 25 members of the medical, nursing, and administrative staff at Hiram Hospital in the Tyre district sustained various injuries after Israel carried out airstrikes in the hospital's immediate vicinity, causing severe damage to the healthcare facility.
This is the second time in less than two months that the hospital has faced such dangers due to repeated Israeli attacks, the PHEOC added, describing the incident as further evidence of Israel's violation of international humanitarian law, which stipulates the protection of healthcare facilities, and its disregard for all related resolutions.
The death toll from the Israeli aggression on Lebanon has risen on Saturday to 3,123 killed, along with 9,506 others injured. (QNA)
