Geneva, May 22 (QNA) - The World Health Organization has adopted two resolutions addressing the health situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and the occupied Syrian Golan during the 79th World Health Assembly in Geneva.

The first resolution, passed with support from 89 countries, highlighted the worsening humanitarian and health crisis in Gaza and called for regular field-based reports documenting violations against patients, medical staff and healthcare facilities.

A second resolution, backed by 108 countries, expressed deep concern over the large number of civilian casualties in Gaza, including women and children, and warned of serious health and environmental risks linked to bodies trapped under rubble and the collapse of basic services.

Both resolutions called for the unhindered delivery of humanitarian and medical aid, as well as improved access to treatment, medicines and emergency healthcare services. (QNA)
