Lebanon, UNESCO Sign MOU to on Rehabilitating Damaged Heritage Sites
Beirut, August 19 (QNA) - Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between Lebanon and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) with its Director-General Khaled El Enany, who is currently visiting Lebanon.
The discussions covered cooperation in the fields of education, culture, heritage, media, science and technology, as well as support for Lebanon's efforts to protect its archaeological and heritage sites, rehabilitate damaged sites, strengthen education and ensure the safety of journalists.
During the meeting, the Lebanese government and UNESCO also signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at establishing a comprehensive and sustainable institutional framework for cooperation in areas of mutual interest. (QNA)
