Doha, May 22 (QNA) - Qatar University Press (QU Press) launched its new academic and scientific publications, along with recent issues of its peer-reviewed academic journals, as part of its participation in the 35th Doha International Book Fair (DIBF) held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center until May 23.
The publications are part of the Press's efforts to support scientific research and knowledge production and to enrich the Arabic library with original and diverse specialized academic works.
Among the most prominent new publications is a book by Dr. Alanood Mubarak Ahmed Al-Thani, which provides a comprehensive reference on scientific research methodologies, reviewing its philosophical foundations, ethics, tools, methods of preparing academic research, and scientific presentation skills.
The QU Press also launched another book by Professor Dr. Hassan Abdulrahim Al Buhashim Al Sayed on the development of constitutional review in the State of Qatar, the jurisdiction of the Supreme Constitutional Court, and the legal issues related to its work.
It also unveiled a book by Dr. Radwan Munisi, which offers an analytical and critical reading of the concept of coexistence in Islamic culture from linguistic, philosophical, jurisprudential, media, and educational perspectives.
QU Press's participation includes organizing seminars to discuss several of its publications, including 'Education policies in the State of Qatar: from inception to the 2002 education development initiative' by Professor Dr. Hissa Mohammed Sadiq, and 'Artificial Intelligence in the Gulf: challenges and opportunities,' translated by Professor Mohammed Fathi Ismail. It also launched 'International treaty law and its implementation in the State of Qatar' by Dr. Faisal bin Misfer Al Hababi.
It clarified that it has published more than 100 peer-reviewed books to date, in addition to four peer-reviewed academic journals: the International Journal of Law, the Journal of the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies, the Journal of Educational Sciences, and the Journal of Interdisciplinary Humanities and Social Sciences Studies.
The ongoing Doha International Book Fair features 515 publishing houses from 36 Arab and foreign countries, along with a number of governmental and private entities, reflecting the fair's status as one of the most prominent cultural events in the region. (QNA)
