Oman Welcomes Yemeni Parties' Agreement to Release 1,600 Conflict Related Detainees
Muscat, May 15 (QNA) - Oman welcomed the agreement reached by the Yemeni parties to release 1,600 conflict-related detainees following negotiations held in the Jordanian capital, Amman.
In a statement, Oman's Foreign Ministry praised Jordan's efforts in hosting and supporting the latest round of talks.
The ministry also commended the efforts of the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross, as well as the constructive engagement shown by the parties involved in reaching the agreement.
Oman expressed hope that the deal would help build trust and create conditions conducive to reconciliation and peace in Yemen.
The agreement forms part of earlier understandings reached in Muscat, on December 23, 2025. (QNA)
