Login75,000 Palestinians Pray at Al Aqsa Amid Tight Israeli Restrictions
Occupied Jerusalem, May 15 (QNA) - Around 75,000 Palestinians performed Friday prayers at Al Aqsa Mosque amid heightened Israeli military measures around the holy site.
According to the Palestinian news agency (WAFA), Israeli forces imposed strict restrictions at the mosque's gates and across Jerusalem's Old City, while heavy security deployments were reported in the area.
Settlers also entered areas near Al Aqsa ahead of prayers, and Palestinian worshipers reported assaults in streets leading to the mosque.
Israeli authorities continue to restrict access for thousands of Palestinians from the occupied West Bank through military checkpoints surrounding Jerusalem. (QNA)
