Rabat, April 08 (QNA) - Morocco welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire between the US and Iran.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed Morocco's support for the negotiations to be mediated by Pakistan, expressing its hope that these negotiations will lead to a lasting peace that strengthens stability in the region and takes into account the higher interests of the Arab Gulf states.
The statement also noted that Morocco emphasizes the importance of ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, in accordance with international maritime law. (QNA)
