Cairo, April 06 (QNA) - Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez discussed current regional developments over the phone on Monday.

In its statement, Egypt's presidency said that the two sides also focused on boosting bilateral cooperation and agreed to enhance joint coordination with the aim of ending the current escalation and mitigating its negative repercussions, particularly those related to the economy.

During the call, the Egyptian President said that regional and international efforts must come together to accomplish those objectives and shield the region's countries and their peoples from the dire repercussions of instability and disruptions to energy markets and global supply chains.

Egypt categorically condemned the aggression against Arab states, vehemently rejecting any infringement upon their sovereignty, stability, and their peoples' resources, asserted President El Sisi. (QNA)
