Doha, April 6 (QNA) – Al Arabi were crowned champions of the Qatar Handball Cup for the 2025-2026 season after defeating Al Duhail 31-29 in the final match held Monday at the Al Duhail Sports Hall.

Al Arabi delivered an outstanding performance in the final, particularly in the second half.

They trailed 13-15 at halftime but rallied in the second half, overcoming a two-goal deficit to secure a two-goal victory.

Following the final match, HE Dr. Thani bin Abdulrahman Al Kuwari, Second Vice President of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), and Ahmed Mohammed Al Shaabi, President of the Qatar Handball Association, presented Al Arabi with the championship trophy and gold medals, while Al Duhail received silver medals.

This marks Al Arabi's third Qatar Handball Cup title, following their victories in the 2020-2021 and 2023-2024 seasons. Meanwhile, Al Duhail failed to retain the title they won last season.

Al Arabi's handball team also achieved a historic treble this season, having already won the Association Cup, the league title, and the Qatar Cup. (QNA)
