Qatar Charity CEO Commends Rawda Award Win for "Generational Impact Maker Challenge" Initiative
Doha, April 05 (QNA) - CEO of Qatar Charity Yousef bin Ahmed Al Kuwari commended Qatar Charity's winning of the inaugural Rawda Award for Excellence in Social Work for its "Generational Impact Maker Challenge" initiative, describing the achievement as a national recognition of its track record in social work and its efforts to promote the values of sustainable giving and innovation.
Speaking on the sidelines of the award ceremony, Al Kuwari said the accolade serves as a strong impetus to further develop community-driven initiatives that support Qatari society and strengthen national partnerships, in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030.
He noted that the initiative has successfully instilled the values of humanitarian work and social responsibility among school students, translating these principles into practical, impact-driven applications.
Al Kuwari emphasized that the wide participation of schools underscores the potential of charitable work as a collective educational experience that nurtures conscious, socially responsible generations capable of contributing positively to their communities.
He explained that the "Generational Impact Maker Challenge" is among Qatar Charity's flagship community-based volunteer initiatives aimed at embedding the values of humanitarian action and social responsibility among students, while promoting their practical application through innovative and interactive activities. The initiative targeted primary, preparatory, and secondary school students, in addition to teachers and parents.
Implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the initiative saw the participation of 90 schools across Qatar. It resulted in a tangible humanitarian outcome, including funding the construction of a school at a cost of QR 2.5 million -- reflecting the strong link between community awareness and sustainable humanitarian impact.
The foundation stone for the school was laid in December 2025 in the village of Tujan in Albania, in the presence of students from the winning school, First Al Bayan Primary School and Kindergarten. (QNA)
