Beirut, April 29 (QNA) – Two people were killed, and 22 others injured on Wednesday in an Israeli airstrike on a town in southern Lebanon.

A statement from the Lebanese Ministry of Health indicated that an Israeli airstrike on the town of Jouaya in the Tyre district of southern Lebanon resulted in two deaths and 22 injuries, including five children.

Earlier Wednesday, the Lebanese Health Emergency Operations Center reported that five people were killed and 21 others injured in an Israeli airstrike last night on the town of Jebchit in the Nabatieh district of southern Lebanon.

These Israeli airstrikes come amid ongoing escalation in the border areas of southern Lebanon, raising concerns about a worsening humanitarian and security situation in the region. (QNA)
