Moscow, April 28 (QNA) - Russia's Defense Ministry said on Tuesday that it had intercepted and destroyed 30 Ukrainian drones over several regions.

In a statement, the Russian Defense Ministry said its air defense systems downed the drones over the Belgorod and Kursk regions, as well as over Crimea and the waters of the Black Sea.

The ministry had earlier reported that 114 Ukrainian drones were shot down across various Russian regions over the previous 24 hours.

Since the outbreak of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022, both Russia and Ukraine have issued near-daily accounts of battlefield developments and affected areas. Because of the conditions of the ongoing war and the nature of the fighting, such statements are often released by the parties themselves without independent verification, limiting the ability to precisely confirm the scale of losses and damage on the ground.
