Chelsea Sacks Manager Liam Rosenior After Poor Results
London, April 22 (QNA) - Chelsea FC announced on Wednesday the dismissal of Liam Rosenior as head coach of the first team following a run of five consecutive defeats in the Premier League.
In a statement, the club said the decision was due to a decline in results and performances in recent matches, noting that the team still has much to achieve this season.
The statement added that Callum McFarlane would take charge of the team until the end of the season, supported by the current technical staff, as the club seeks to improve its position in the Premier League standings to secure qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League, and to progress in the FA Cup.
Chelsea currently sits seventh with 48 points, seven points behind Liverpool in fifth place, which has a game in hand. (QNA)
