Doha, April 18 (QNA) - Media City Qatar and Es'hailSat have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at expanding satellite broadcasting capabilities and strengthening digital media infrastructure for licensed companies operating within Media City Qatar.
Under the agreement, Es'hailSat will explore leveraging its expertise in satellite communications and content distribution to support Media City Qatar's licensed entities through tailored services. These include broadcast and playout solutions, satellite capacity, signal transmission, as well as backup and disaster recovery services.
Media City Qatar, in turn, will facilitate Es'hailSat's engagement with licensed companies by providing market access, regulatory and onboarding support, in addition to joint marketing and visibility initiatives.
The collaboration will also explore opportunities across a range of areas, including OTT services, media and esports hubs, and emerging technologies such as satellite broadcasting and artificial intelligence. These efforts aim to support the delivery of high-quality Arabic and international content.
Chief Executive Officer of Media City Qatar Hamad Omar Al Mannai said the collaboration with Es'hailSat is designed to enable companies to distribute content more reliably, expand their reach, and operate with greater resilience across regional and global markets.
For his part, President and CEO of Es'hailSat Ali Ahmed Al Kuwari reaffirmed the company's commitment to providing an advanced and sustainable platform that empowers partners to deliver content with high reliability, wider reach, and the flexibility to adapt across diverse markets.
The agreement supports Media City Qatar's ongoing efforts to strengthen the infrastructure serving its more than 500 licensed companies, building on initiatives aimed at fostering a more connected and competitive media sector in line with Qatar National Vision 2030. (QNA)
