Doha, April 15 (QNA) - As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance oversight and regulate the air transport sector, Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA), represented by Air Transport Department, conducted an inspection campaign targeting travel and air cargo agencies to ensure compliance with applicable laws, approved regulations, and proper operational practices.

The campaign identified several violations, which were addressed in accordance with relevant legislation through appropriate legal and administrative measures. These included corrective actions or penalties, depending on the nature of each violation, as well as the closure and striking off several non-compliant travel agencies from official records for failure to comply with applicable regulations.

QCAA affirmed that all measures were taken in line with approved legal frameworks, ensuring the protection of the rights of all parties, and enhancing the efficiency and transparency of the sector.

The Authority also calls on all travel and air cargo agencies to fully adhere to the approved regulations and instructions, and to take the initiative to immediately rectify their status. It emphasizes that inspection campaigns will continue on regular and unannounced basis, contributing to improving service quality and establishing a well-organized work environment that enhances beneficiaries’ trust in the air transport sector.
