Washington, June 10 (QNA) - Anthropic has announced the public release of Fable 5, its newest and most advanced artificial intelligence model, while imposing usage restrictions due to cybersecurity concerns.

The company said the model possesses advanced capabilities in writing and debugging software code, answering complex research questions, and analyzing images.

Anthropic also launched an unrestricted version called Claude Mythos 5 for vetted corporations and institutions, including entities participating in the Glasswing Project, an initiative aimed at protecting software and digital infrastructure using artificial intelligence.

The company explained that it refrained from making the Mythos version available to the general public because of its potent ability to detect and exploit software vulnerabilities, which could pose significant risks if used maliciously.

The announcement comes days after US President Donald Trump signed an executive order allowing for voluntary government oversight of advanced artificial intelligence models on cybersecurity grounds. (QNA)
