Oil Prices Settle Nearly 3 Percent Lower
New York, June 10 (QNA) - Oil prices fell nearly 3 percent at settlement on Tuesday as concerns over supply disruptions eased after Iran and Israel announced a halt to their exchange of attacks in response to an appeal by US President Donald Trump.
Brent crude futures declined by $2.80, or 3 percent, to settle at $91.45 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate crude fell $3.10, or 3.4 percent, to $88.20 a barrel.
Brent posted its lowest closing level since April 17, while West Texas Intermediate finished at its lowest level since May 29, as the geopolitical risk premium in energy markets continued to recede. (QNA)
