Violent Israeli Strikes on Southern Lebanon Kill Three, Cause Widespread Destruction
Beirut, April 11 (QNA) - Israeli warplanes carried out a series of intensive airstrikes since dawn Saturday on multiple towns across southern Lebanon, leaving casualties and causing extensive material damage.
One of the strikes targeted a residential building in the town of Mayfadoun, killing three people and completely destroying the structure, according to preliminary reports.
Additional airstrikes hit the town of Toul in the Nabatieh District, where several residential buildings were destroyed, triggering widespread panic among residents.
In Jebchit, also in the Nabatieh District, an airstrike targeted a private electricity generator facility, completely destroying it and sparking fires at the site.
Israeli warplanes also struck the town of Khiam in the Marjeyoun District, although no immediate reports of casualties or damage were available.
In a related development, Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health announced on Friday that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli offensive on Lebanon since March 2 has risen to 1,953 fatalities, with 6,303 others injured. (QNA)
