Ankara, April 10 (QNA) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has held a telephone call with Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian to discuss a ceasefire and the security situation in the region.

During the call, President Erdogan stressed the importance of making full use of upcoming US-Iran negotiations in order to achieve lasting peace and stability.

He also warned against allowing any parties to undermine or derail the diplomatic process, underlining the need to protect ongoing efforts toward de-escalation.

Erdogan further stated that Turkiye is ready to contribute in coordination with friendly countries to support the next phase of diplomatic engagement. (QNA)
