Abu Dhabi, March 28 (QNA) - HH President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has received a written message from Syrian President Ahmed Al Sharaa pertaining to the bilateral relationship.

Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al Shaibani handed the message to the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during their meeting in Abu Dhabi.

The meeting discussed the consequences of the Iranian brutal missile attacks on the UAE and several countries in the region.

Both ministers vigorously deplored these attacks and confirmed that countries subjected to these assaults are entitled to take the essential measures to protect their sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the security of their citizens, residents, and visitors, in accordance with international law provisions.

For his part, Al Shaibani stressed that Syria fully stands in solidarity with the UAE and supports it in all efforts to safeguard its security and stability.

The two sides addressed the avenues for advancing the bilateral relationship and cooperation paths to achieve their shared interests and generate well-being and prosperity for the peoples of the two nations.

They likewise examined the developments in the region and underscored that it is vitally important to give the language of reason, dialogue, and diplomatic means overriding priority to resolve all crises and pending issues, thereby helping to maintain regional and global security. (QNA)
