Gaza, March 29 (QNA) -The death toll from an Israeli airstrike on the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis rose to nine.

Local sources reported that the number of fatalities from the strike, which targeted Al-Mawasi area in Khan Younis last night, increased to nine after three of the wounded succumbed to their injuries.

The strike comes amid ongoing escalation by Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip and continued violations of the ceasefire agreement, which resulted in hundreds of deaths and thousands of injuries since it was signed.

A ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israeli occupation forces came into effect last October, but Israeli occupation forces have continued to carry out air and artillery strikes across various areas of the Gaza Strip. (QNA)
