Malaysian PM Discusses Developments in Middle East Region with Pakistani Counterpart and Egyptian President
Kuala Lumpur, March 26 (QNA) - Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim discussed, in two phone calls today, developments in the Middle East and diplomatic efforts to facilitate talks between the US and Iran with his Pakistani counterpart Shehbaz Sharif and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
During the calls, they reviewed efforts to halt the ongoing escalation in the region and contain its repercussions, particularly its negative economic impact and its implications for regional and global stability.
They also emphasized the need for an immediate end to the war in the Middle East and support for peace efforts, as well as the importance of continuing to strengthen cooperation in various fields, especially in developing economic, trade, and investment partnerships. (QNA)
