Kuwait, March 19 (QNA) - The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense announced Thursday that it detected 18 hostile drones within the country's airspace in the past 24 hours.

It noted that 13 of these drones were destroyed, while two drones targeted two operational units belonging to the Kuwait National Petroleum Company, resulting in minor fires but no casualties.

The ministry's spokesperson, Colonel Saud Al Atwan stated during a media briefing on current events and the latest field developments that three drones crashed outside the threat area.

He explained that the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team of the Land Forces Engineering Corps responded to 11 reports, bringing the total number of reports handled since the beginning of the blatant Iranian aggression to 233.

He added that the necessary technical procedures were implemented according to the highest safety standards to ensure the protection of lives and property. (QNA)
