Saudi Arabia Welcomes Temporary Ceasefire Between Pakistan, Afghanistan for Eid Al Fitr

Riyadh, March 18 (QNA) - Saudi Arabia expressed Wednesday its welcome of the announcement of a temporary ceasefire between Pakistan and Afghanistan on the occasion of the upcoming Eid Al Fitr.

In a statement, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the Kingdom appreciates the response of both sides to the calls issued by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the sisterly State of Qatar, and the sisterly Republic of Turkiye to implement this ceasefire, affirming that prioritizing the language of dialogue and peaceful solutions is the optimal way to resolve outstanding disputes.

The ministry added that the Kingdom affirms it will continue its diplomatic efforts tirelessly and in coordination with brotherly and friendly countries to achieve peace, security, and stability in the region. (QNA)
