Damascus, March 18 (QNA) - The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the declaration of a truce between Pakistan and Afghanistan marking the blessed Eid Al-Fitr, considering this move an entry point to de-escalate tension and reinforce opportunities for dialogue in support of security and stability in the region.

In a statement Wednesday, the Ministry praised the diplomatic efforts undertaken by the State of Qatar in reaching this accord, alongside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Turkiye.

It confirmed that regional coordination helps support paths to peace and settle disputes through political means.

The Ministry further reiterated its support for initiatives that aim to strengthen stability, hoping that this truce would pave the way for broader avenues of understanding and cooperation. (QNA)
