Doha, March 15 (QNA) - Qatar Chamber's (QC) Industry Committee held a meeting on Sunday to go over several challenges facing the industry sector in the wake of the current circumstances and to craft the appropriate proposals and solutions.
QC Board Member and Chairman of the QC's Industry Committee, Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al Ansari, said the meeting was convened as part of the emergency committees' sessions to examine all challenges encountering the private sector and resolve them in tandem with the relevant authorities.
Al Ansari commended the nation's efforts to address the problems facing the economy, especially regarding the provision of strategic commodities, raw materials, and food items through establishing direct lines with some ports that are still operating in the region.
Throughout the meeting, members of the committee called for unifying shipping prices, as well as providing facilitations from banks through deferring loan payments for local companies. (QNA)
