Municipality Minister Reviews Abundance of Local Production During Tour of Mahaseel, Al Sailiya Market

Doha, March 13 (QNA) - HE Minister of Municipality Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiyah reviewed the abundance and diversity of local production and its ability to meet market demand during an inspection tour that included Mahaseel for Marketing and Agricultural Services Company, as part of efforts to monitor the food security system and strengthen local production.
During his tour, HE the Minister was briefed on the efforts made to support the agricultural sector and enhance its contribution to achieving food security, in a way that contributes to increasing local production and meeting market demand.
The tour also included Al Sailiya Central Market, where His Excellency followed the progress of auction operations for local and imported fruits and vegetables and reviewed the approved sales mechanisms that ensure the smooth flow of trading operations and the availability of goods in markets.
His Excellency also listened to a briefing on the efforts of Hassad Food Company in ensuring the continuity of food supplies through various logistical routes, thereby enhancing market stability and the availability of food products to meet consumer needs.
This tour comes within the framework of the Ministry of Municipality's keenness to follow up on the food security system, support local agricultural production, and ensure market stability and the availability of food commodities in the country. (QNA)
