Doha, February 07 (QNA) - The Ministry of Culture on Saturday wound up the Kazakhstan Cultural Week, organized in collaboration with its Kazakh counterpart, held from Feb. 4-7 at its Darb Al Saai permanent venue in Umm Salal.

The event incredibly drew striking spectators and terrific interaction, serving as an extension of a constant cultural pathway that has achieved a pre-eminent presence over the past years, within the State of Qatar's vision aimed at strengthening civilizational dialogue, broadening cultural exchange apertures with various countries of the world, and consolidating culture as a shared platform for human convergence.

To mark this occasion, Director of the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Culture, Nasser Al Maliki, emphasized that the event achieved its objectives in forging rock-solid bridges of cultural bonds between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Kazakhstan, offering the public in Qatar an extraordinary opportunity to have a closer look at the time-honored Kazakh artistic and civilizational legacy.

This week came as a complement to a successful series of cultural weeks Doha has been hosting since 2024, which included Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, followed in 2025 by events in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Egypt, and Iraq, leading up to the 2026 agenda, which includes Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Russia, Al Maliki highlighted.

For his part, HE Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the State of Qatar, Arman Issagaliyev, said he was glad to have this successful cultural week, emphasizing that being among the brothers in Qatar aims to reinforce robust bonds.

He added that over 200 artists, representing the foremost Kazakh heritage, participated-something that obviously underscores the significant rapprochement and commonalities in terms of historic roots and mores between the two nations.

The week comprised wide-ranging bundles of activities that embody the bountiful Kazakh culture, showcasing traditional fashion shows, musical evenings, visual arts, exhibitions of handicrafts and antique carpets, in addition to live experiences of Kazakh cuisine.

The conclusion comes to shore up the success of the cultural weeks experience as a leading national initiative that aims to nurture the domestic cultural scene and familiarize the public with the diversity of humanitarian heritage, thereby strengthening Qatar's stature as an incubator of creativity and a global hub for promoting mutual understanding through the gateway of culture and arts.
