Foreign Minister of Iraq Highlights Importance of Resolving Current Middle East Issues Through Dialogue and Negotiations
Baghdad, February 05 (QNA) - Foreign Minister of Iraq Fuad Hussein stressed the delicate situation currently facing the Middle East, saying that resolving regional challenges requires dialogue and negotiations rather than violence or military intervention.
Speaking at a joint press conference with his French counterpart, Jean-Noel Barrot, Hussein emphasized the need to keep the region away from the threat of war, noting that Iraq supports the ongoing talks between Iranian and US representatives in Oman.
Barrot, for his part, highlighted the significance of maintaining the stability Iraq has achieved despite regional uncertainties, describing the country's current situation as a source of hope for all.
He also said that France is closely monitoring Iraq's institutional progress and underlined the role of policies promoting openness and economic growth in consolidating the country's security, political, and economic gains.
