Doha, April 03 (QNA) - Al Duhail coach Djamel Belmadi highlighted the importance of his team's match against Al Gharafa, which will take place tomorrow within the 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League Week 20.
Speaking ahead of their match against Al Gharafa, Belmadi said: "We have another important match ahead of us and we aim to secure a victory and continue our winning streak from the last two games. We also look forward to maintaining the same level and performance we have shown recently.
"It is crucial that we maintain our confidence in the team, in addition to focusing on preparing well for upcoming challenges, particularly in the AFC Champions League Elite. After the international break, it is important that we are in top form before facing Al Gharafa," added Belmadi.
For his part, Al Gharafa coach Pedro Martins stated: "Our preparations have been ongoing with seriousness and high focus. I know our players are always striving to give their best, especially since we want to change the negative image we had presented in recent matches, as it does not reflect our identity or our capabilities. Therefore, we are disappointed, but we have a lot to achieve, and we will strive to continue competing in the league. My team is fighting to return to its previous level.
"It is certainly an important match; it is like a derby, and winning this type of match is crucial. Al Duhail have achieved very good results in their last two matches, securing victories in both, and that makes a difference. We will play to win all three points," said Martins. (QNA)
