Doha, February 05 (QNA) - Al Shamal secured a 2-1 victory over Al Arabi at Al Thumama Stadium in the 15th round of the 2025-26 Doha Bank Stars League.
Omid Ebrahimi opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 28th minute, before Karl Ekambi equalized for Al Arabi in the 66th. Algeria winger Adam Ounas struck the winner late on, scoring in the 86th minute.
The result lifts Al Shamal to 28 points, consolidating third place and moving them within three points of second-placed Al Gharafa. Al Arabi remain fifth on 23 points.
Al Shamal had earlier missed a second-half penalty and survived late pressure, while Al Arabi were reduced to 10 men in stoppage time after Issa Laye was sent off. (QNA)
