LoginSyria, Russia Discuss Enhancing Military Cooperation
Damascus, February 04 (QNA) - Syria's Chief of the General Staff, Maj. Gen. Ali Al Naasan, met on Wednesday with Russia's Deputy Defense Minister, Yunus-bek Yevkurov, and his accompanying delegation during their current visit to the capital, Damascus.
In a statement, the Syrian Ministry of Defense noted that the two sides discussed the advancement and reinforcement of military cooperation to serve the mutual interests of both countries.
The visit comes days after a trip by Syrian President Ahmed Al Sharaa to Moscow, where he met with his Russian counterpart and members of the government to discuss several political and economic files and the strengthening of bilateral relations. (QNA)
