Doha, February 24 (QNA) - The 49th Saleh Saqr Ramadan Football Tournament will continue Wednesday at Doha Stadium, supervised by the Qatar Football Association (QFA) in collaboration with the Qatar Stars League, running until Ramadan 21 with the participation of 16 squads.

In the second round of Group C, Ansar Gallery and Mayas India are poised to clash, eying their coveted qualification cards, while the second match will bring together Al Mansoura and Al Shaqab in a showdown that is no less significant, as the group's calculations remain wide open to all odds.

In the previous round, Petri secured a 3-0 victory over Kenya FC, with a hat-trick scored by Mazen Haider, Mazen Al Tayeb, and Mohammed Mudathir, confirming the team’s strong girding for the title race and taking a victory lap that radiated their unyielding spirit.

In the second match, defending champion Mshereb achieved a decisive 4-0 win over Gambia Scorpions, continuing their impressive results with a second consecutive triumph.

The goals were scored by Mohammed Abdeljalil, Mahmoud Islam, Ismail Azoumeh, and Youssef Matyar, as the team took a victory lap to celebrate their spectacular performance.

The participating squads were divided into four groups. Group A included Mshereb, Petri, Gambia Scorpions, and Kenya FC. Group B featured Doha, Mombasa Club, Box to Box, and Al Laqtifiya Club. Group C comprised Mbas Al Hindi, Al Mansoura Club, Ansar Gallery, and Al Shaqab Club. Group D included Senegalese Community, Al Jazira, Al Riffa Club, and Al Dhaayen Club.

This Ramadan tournament maintains its terrific nature on a yearly basis, combining a decent sports contest with the Ramadan social atmosphere, offering an opportunity for the emergence of numerous talents, alongside the participation of squads that include expert footballers, all while taking a victory lap in celebration of the spirit of the game.
