Amman, April 26 (QNA) - King Abdullah II of Jordan met on Sunday with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, who is currently visiting Amman, to discuss ways to strengthen relations and cooperation between the two countries, as well as joint Arab efforts to sustain calm in the region.

During the meeting, King Abdullah II stressed that any agreement to de-escalate tensions in the region must guarantee the security of Arab states, emphasizing that the security of the Gulf is fundamental to the security and stability of the region and the world.

He also noted the importance of supporting Lebanon in its efforts to maintain its security, stability, and sovereignty, and to prevent any Israeli attempts to exploit the situation in the region to impose a new reality in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza. (QNA)
