IAEA Confirms Possibility of Agreement with Iran on its Nuclear Program
Munich, February 13 (QNA) - Director General of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi confirmed today the possibility of reaching an agreement with Iran regarding inspections related to its nuclear program, but noted its extreme difficulty.
Speaking at the Munich Security Conference, Grossi said that IAEA returned to Iran after last June's war waged by Israel and the United States, adding that the agency was able to inspect everything, except for the sites that were bombed.
He stressed that reaching an agreement on this issue is important for all parties, but did not hide the difficulty of achieving this given its extreme complexities.
Last November, Iran announced the termination of its agreement with the IAEA, explaining that ending the agreement was in response to what Tehran considered a hostile decision by the agency's Board of Governors. (QNA)
