Gaza, February 11 (QNA) - The death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023 has risen to 72,045, in addition to 171,686 wounded.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip said that the toll of those who arrived at hospitals in the Strip during the past 24 hours reached 5 bodies, including 3 who were pulled from under the rubble, in addition to 20 injuries. The ministry indicated that a number of victims are still under the rubble and on the streets, as ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them.

The ministry said that since the ceasefire in October, the total number of martyrs has reached 591, the total number of injuries 1,578, and 720 bodies have been recovered from under the rubble.

The ceasefire agreement between Hamas and the Israeli entity came into effect on Oct. 10, following the withdrawal of the occupation army from the sites and populated areas in the sector, and the start of the return of displaced people to the northern part of the sector, as part of the first phase of US President Donald Trump's initiative to end the war on Gaza.
