Warsaw, November 07 (QNA) - Five people were killed and more than 12 others, including police personnel, were injured after a man opened fire indiscriminately from inside a moving car in Krakow's main square on Saturday, Polish authorities said.
The police added that the assailant was wounded after officers opened fire on him during a confrontation in the wake of the incident.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said security services were following up on the incident and investigating its circumstances, while expressing solidarity with the victims and their next of kin.
For his part, Polish President Karol Nawrocki also rallied to the side of the victims, the injured and their families.
Authorities have thus far disclosed no further details about the attacker's identity or possible motives. (QNA)
