Doha Film Festival 2026 Celebrates Power of Music to Transcend Borders
Doha, November 02 (QNA) - Doha Film Festival 2026 unveiled on Monday its music program for this year's edition, scheduled to run from November 19 to 27, featuring a lineup of regional music pioneers, international artists, and emerging talents that reflect the diversity and creative energy of today's global music landscape.
The festival's program celebrates the power of music to transcend borders, amplify underrepresented voices, and foster shared cultural experiences. The schedule features a wide array of performances, ranging from Palestinian youth-music trailblazers and fresh Sudanese voices to international artists, alongside a special collaboration with Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra.
Chief Executive Officer of the Doha Film Institute and Director of the Doha Film Festival Fatma Hassan Alremaihi stated on Monday that music remains one of the most potent art forms for bringing people together across borders, languages, and cultures, creating shared experiences that resonate deeply.
Alremaihi added that across the Arab world, a new generation of artists is using music to innovate and redefine contemporary sounds while expressing their identities, life experiences, and social and cultural concerns, expressing the festival's pride in hosting these artists and offering audiences the opportunity to experience music's capacity to bridge gaps between individuals and communities.
