Moscow, October 08 (QNA) - The Russian Ministry of Defense announced Thursday that 399 Ukrainian drones were shot down over various regions of the country overnight.
The ministry said in a statement that its air defense systems shot down 399 Ukrainian drones over the regions of Belgorod, Bryansk, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kursk, Lipetsk, Oryol, Orenburg, Penza, Rostov, Ryazan, Samara, Saratov, Smolensk, Tambov, Tula, Ulyanovsk and Moscow, as well as the republics of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan, the Crimean Peninsula and over the Black Sea basin.
Since the war began, Russia and Ukraine have issued almost daily reports claiming to have repelled attacks by the other side. These claims have not been independently verified due to wartime conditions and the ongoing fighting since February 2022. (QNA)
