Israeli Occupation Forces Blow Up School, Burn Homes in Southern Lebanon
Beirut, October 04 (QNA) - Israeli occupation forces' attacks continued in areas of southern Lebanon, with Israeli forces carrying out shelling, demolitions and the burning of homes in several border towns.
Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that an Israeli Apache attack helicopter fired heavy machine guns toward the outskirts of the town of Zawtar Al Sharqiyah.
It said Israeli forces rigged a private school building in the town of Houla, in the Marjayoun district, with explosives and detonated it, completely destroying the building.
Israeli forces also set fire to several homes in Houla, according to the report.
Lebanon and Israel signed a framework agreement in June, brokered by the United States, that provides for security arrangements including the gradual deployment of the Lebanese Army and the withdrawal of Israeli forces, as well as measures related to reconstruction and economic recovery.
Implementation of the agreement's provisions continues to face obstacles. (QNA)
