Muscat, October 27 (QNA) - Al Rayyan coach Vicente Moreno said his team were determined to return to winning ways when they face Oman's Al Nahda at Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex on Wednesday in the third round of AFC Champions League Two Group C.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, the Spanish coach said Al Rayyan were eager to make up for their defeat to Saudi Arabia's Al Taawoun in the previous round and urged his players to give their best to secure all three points.

He acknowledged the difficulty of facing Al Nahda on home ground, noting that their opponents were also seeking a response after losing to Jordan's Al Faisaly.

Moreno said preparations had gone well and stressed the need for full concentration against a strong side with talented players.

Al Rayyan player Diego Amaro said the team were physically ready and accustomed to the demands of a busy season.

He expressed confidence in their ability to correct their course and secure a positive result against opponents equally determined to claim their first win.

Al Rayyan are second in Group C with three points, having beaten Al Faisaly 4-3 before losing 1-2 to Al Taawoun. Al Nahda sit fourth and bottom with one point. (QNA)
