New York, October 26 (QNA) - HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations, Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani, met with HE UN Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Deputy Emergency Relief Coordinator at the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), Mohammed Yahya, at the Permanent Mission's headquarters in New York.

Her Excellency congratulated Yahya on his appointment to his new post and wished him success, affirming Qatar's commitment to further strengthening cooperation with OCHA.

For his part, Yahya expressed his thanks and appreciation to Qatar for its close cooperation with the United Nations, commending its role in supporting humanitarian efforts.

He stressed the importance of continued coordination to respond to urgent humanitarian needs in crisis-affected areas. (QNA)
