Madrid, October 15 (QNA) - Qatar's Aspire Zone Foundation has signed a partnership agreement with the Spanish Padel Federation to support Spain's men's and women's national teams ahead of the 2026 and 2028 FIP Padel World Cups in Doha.

The agreement, signed in Madrid on Thursday, runs until Dec. 31, 2028 and makes Aspire Zone an official partner of both Spanish national teams.

The partnership aims to strengthen international sports cooperation and support the teams' preparations and participation in the two world championships. It also provides for collaboration in sports facilities and expertise, media and promotional activities, and engagement with the wider sporting community.

The agreement aligns with Aspire Zone's "Elevate 2030" strategy, which focuses on improving sporting standards and human performance, developing talent and promoting a culture of excellence.

Nasser Al Hajri, acting general manager of Aspire Logistics and chief marketing officer, said the agreement reflected the foundation's commitment to building strategic partnerships and developing sustainable commercial returns.

He said the collaboration would allow Aspire Zone to draw on its integrated expertise and facilities to support athletes, improve performance and promote sporting excellence.

Al Hajri added that the partnership could serve as a model for sustainable international cooperation while strengthening Qatar's position as a host of major sporting events.

Javier Rodriguez Piris, president of the Spanish Padel Federation, welcomed the agreement, describing it as an opportunity for the federation to continue growing and provide its national teams with the best possible conditions to compete at the highest level.

He said Qatar had become an important country in international padel and expressed confidence that the partnership with Aspire Zone would develop into a productive, long-term relationship.

Kamel Badawy, Aspire Zone's chief information and strategic alliances officer, said the foundation sought to establish partnerships that went beyond traditional cooperation by creating new business opportunities, encouraging investment and generating sustainable value.

He said the agreement would allow both sides to explore further opportunities for collaboration and benefit from the Spanish federation's international presence, linking sporting excellence with long-term commercial development.

The partnership highlights the growing role of international cooperation and knowledge exchange in developing elite sport, while supporting Qatar's preparations to host the 2026 and 2028 FIP Padel World Cups. (QNA)
