Al Sadd Sign Qatar International Mohammed Muntari for Two Seasons
Doha, October 15 (QNA) - Al Sadd have signed Qatar international striker Mohammed Muntari from Al Gharafa on Thursday on a two-season deal, the reigning Doha Bank Stars League champions announced Wednesday.
The 32-year-old joined Al Gharafa in the 2024-25 season, making 29 appearances and scoring six goals.
He previously played for Al Jaish and Al Duhail and had a loan spell at Al Ahli in 2018.
Muntari made his Qatar debut in 2014 and has since earned 70 international caps, scoring 16 goals, including Qatar's only goal at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
He also featured for the national team at the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Al Sadd, who dropped to second in the league with 12 points after their first defeat of the season against Al Arabi, face Al Duhail on Sunday as they seek to strengthen their attack and defend their league title.
The club are also looking to recover in the AFC Champions League Elite after losing their opening two matches. (QNA)
