Swiss Inflation Rises to 1% In September 2026
Bern, October 01 (QNA) - Switzerland’s annual inflation rate climbed to a two-year high of 1% in September, up from 0.8% in August.
According to figures released on Thursday by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO), the State Consumer Price Index (LIK) remained unchanged from the previous month at 101.5 points, compared to 100 points in December 2025.
This stability was a result of opposing trends that offset each other overall, as the prices for heating oil, gasoline, and diesel increased, the prices for package tours abroad, car rentals, and car-sharing, have fallen, in addition to the hotel and non-hotel accommodation sectors. (QNA)
