Doha, January 8 (QNA) - Al Sadd SC beat Thursday Qatar SC 3-2, in the 12th round of Doha Bank Stars League.

The match that took place at Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium saw Akram Afif open the scoring in the 31st minute, before Roberto Firmino and Rafa Mujica added two goals in four minutes in the second half. That completed an impressive comeback for Al Sadd, who trailed twice in the match. Joao Pedro had opened the scoring for Qatar SC in the third minute, with Niall Mason giving his side the lead once again in the 44th minute.

The win, Al Sadd's fifth in a row, takes them to second place with 23 points ahead of Al Rayyan SC on goal difference. Meanwhile, Qatar SC sits in sixth place with 17 points after today's loss. (QNA)
