S. Korean, Chinese Leaders Hold Talks on Bilateral Ties
Beijing, January 06 (QNA) - During his official visit to Beijing, South Korean President Lee Jae Myung discussed Tuesday with Chinese Premier Li Qiang avenues for further developing bilateral relations between the two countries.
The meeting between Lee and Li came a day after Lee held summit talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The South Korean President expressed his country's aspiration that China would support efforts to promote peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.
In response, Li said China values its relations with South Korea and is willing to strengthen strategic communication and political mutual trust, pledging to play a leading role in broadening and deepening cooperation to improve the well-being of the people of both countries.
During the talks, the two leaders reaffirmed their countries' commitment to firmly upholding strong friendly cooperation, adhering to the principles of mutual benefit and win-win outcomes, promoting bilateral strategic partnership along a healthy path, effectively enhancing the well-being of both peoples, and contributing positively to regional and global peace and development.
After their talks, Xi and Lee witnessed the signing of 15 cooperation documents in fields including scientific and technological innovation, ecological environment, transportation, and economic and trade cooperation. (QNA)
