Cairo, January 22 (QNA) - The Arab League and the Russian Federation discussed today strengthening joint cooperation, particularly regarding interfaith dialogue, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence.

They also discussed enhancing the role of young people in these areas and equipping them with the necessary skills and expertise in cultural and religious dialogue.

The two sides discussed the importance of cooperation and cultural exchange between Arab states and the Russian Federation, and their aspirations to strengthen cooperation between the Arab League and the "Russia-Islamic World Group."

The two sides also discussed the Arab League's efforts to establish an Arab cultural center in Russia, as part of implementing the action plan for the principles and objectives of the Arab-Russian Cooperation Forum 2024-2026 in the cultural field. This plan was issued at the sixth session of the Arab-Russian Cooperation Forum at the ministerial level, held in Marrakech, Morocco, in December 2023. (QNA)
