Qatar's National Team to Face South Korea in Asian Handball Championship Tuesday
Kuwait, January 19 (QNA) - The Qatari national handball team will face South Korea on Tuesday, in the first round of Group A matches at the 22nd Asian Men's Handball Championship, currently being held in Kuwait and continuing until January 26.
The tournament serves as a qualifier for the 2027 World Men's Handball Championship, scheduled to be held in Germany.
Both teams secured their place in the main round after Qatar's 27-15 victory over Oman in the first round, and South Korea's 29-24 win against Oman.
The Qatari team are aiming for a victory against South Korea to finish the group stage at the top of Group A.
The Asian Championship draw placed Qatar in Group A alongside South Korea and Oman. Group B consists of Bahrain, Iraq, China, and Jordan; Group C includes Kuwait, the UAE, Hong Kong, and India; and Group D comprises Japan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Australia. (QNA)
