5.1-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Eastern Indonesia
Jakarta, January 18 ( (QNA) - An earthquake measuring 5.1 magnitude on the Richter scale struck Lake Tondano in eastern Indonesia Sunday.
The US Geological Survey reported that the earthquake was located 91 km southeast of Lake Tondano, at a depth of 72.8 km.
Indonesia lies along the Pacific Ring of Fire, making it one of the most earthquake- and volcano-prone countries in the world. (QNA)
